Riverside Academy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. The Riverside Academy Rebels and the Crescent City Christian Pioneers will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Riverside Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Even though Riverdale scored an imposing 68 points on Thursday, Riverside Academy still came out on top. Riverside Academy took their game against Riverdale 75-68.
Crescent City Christian has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 59-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Carver Collegiate Academy two weeks ago.
Riverside Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Crescent City Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-7 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Riverside Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 68-50 loss to Crescent City Christian in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Riverside Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
