Halifax County's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Kennett Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Brian Osborne, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaharie Edmonds, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Halifax County's victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Halifax County will be taking part in a tournament against Franklin-Simpson at 11:30 a.m. on Monday. As for Kennett, they will take on Spaulding at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
