The Kofa Kings entered their tilt with the Youngker Roughriders with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Kofa walked away with a 57-50 win over Youngker on Thursday. For Kofa, this counts as revenge for the 54-48 loss Youngker walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Kofa's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Braveheart, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Braveheart is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games he's played. Calvin Barber was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Kofa's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Youngker, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Kofa won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Cibola at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. As for Youngker, they will head out on the road to take on Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
