Lowndes had won three straight games and Jamecia Burgman did her part to make it four on Tuesday. The Vikings took down the Thomasville Bulldogs 20-6 thanks in part to Burgman, who rushed for 79 yards and two scores on only 11 carries, and also threw for 38 yards and one TD. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times she's played.

Lowndes didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Raniya Head and Tanaijah Canty.

Lowndes' record is now 11-2. As for Thomasville, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lowndes will face off against rival Thomas County Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Vikings 10.3, the Yellow Jackets 7.6) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Thomasville is set to take on their familiar foe Cook at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
