The Hoggard Vikings will venture away from home to take on the Coastal Christian Centurions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hoggard is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 12 games.
On Thursday, Hoggard made easy work of New Hanover and carried off a 3-0 victory.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Hoggard was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-13, 25-10.

Hoggard can attribute much of their success to Lydia Maughan, who had eight digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Maughan a new career-high.
They weren't the only good servers: Hoggard was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Monday Coastal Christian sidestepped Cape Fear Academy for a 3-2 win.
Coastal Christian got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18, 19-25, 29-31, 16-14.
Hoggard better keep an eye on Pasey Hodges. She was instrumental in Coastal Christian's win, getting 17 digs and three aces.
Hoggard's record is now 16-3. As for Coastal Christian, their record now sits at 12-9.
Hoggard beat Coastal Christian 3-1 in their previous meeting back in August of 2024. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Centurions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
