Basketball Recap: Clinton Christian Academy Snaps Ten-Game Streak of Wins at Home

On Tuesday, Clinton Christian Academy faced Plaza Heights Christian Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Clinton Christian Academy Patriots fell to Plaza Heights Christian Academy 47-41. The Patriots have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Despite the loss, Clinton Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Raymond Hood dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 boards. Hood is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Lowe, who posted 11 points.

Luke Jones continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Plaza Heights Christian Academy, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 15 boards. That's the most rebounds Jones has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Remi Schieber, who put up 11 points and seven rebounds.

Clinton Christian Academy's defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3. As for Plaza Heights Christian Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Clinton Christian Academy will face off against Show-Me Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Plaza Heights Christian Academy will take on Sherwood in a holiday battle at 9:00 p.m. on December 17th at.
