St. Andrew's Episcopal can attribute much of their success to Sophia Brooks, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds, and Lamaria Estridge, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Estridge is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Olivia Strause was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds.
St. John's Catholic Prep has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 27 points or more this season. They blew past Concordia Prep, posting a 62-35 win on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for St. John's Catholic Prep.
St. John's Catholic Prep's win on Monday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cayenne Pigeon, who scored 23 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Pigeon has scored at least 25% of St. John's Catholic Prep's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nadia Ferguson, who scored 20 points.
St. Andrew's Episcopal's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for St. John's Catholic Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Keep an eye on the arc in Wednesday's matchup: St. Andrew's Episcopal have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 4.3 threes per game. It's a different story for St. John's Catholic Prep, though, as they've been averaging only 5.4 threes per game. Given St. Andrew's Episcopal's sizeable advantage in that area, St. John's Catholic Prep will need to find a way to close that gap.
