The Ramapo Raiders had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They came out on top against Bergen Catholic by a score of 69-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Ramapo got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Chris Cervino out in front who scored 21 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cervino has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Eglinton manner, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds.
Ramapo has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. As for Bergen Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-8.
Ramapo will head out on the road to face off against Arts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bergen Catholic, they will be playing at home against Clifton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
