After a string of four wins, the Clayton Clippers's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 29-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of Glassboro. The match was a 9-9 toss-up at halftime, but Clayton couldn't quite close it out.
When it comes to explaining why Clayton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Rainelle Blocker. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Clayton's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Glassboro, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
Clayton will head out on the road to square off against Kingsway at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Clayton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 on Monday. Glassboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
