The Cowan Blackhawks had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 48-37 win over Hagerstown. This was payback for Cowan, who suffered a 36-34 loss the last time these two teams met.
Cowan was led to victory by Savannah Hall and Davelynn Lindsay. Hall dropped a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Lindsay scored 19 points along with 8 assists and 7 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Lindsay has scored at least 25% of Cowan's points. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Hall, who scored 2 points along with 11 rebounds.
Cowan has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 3-6 record. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.7 points per game. As for Hagerstown, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Cowan will look to defend their home court on December 8th against Blue River Valley at 6:00 p.m. As for Hagerstown, they will head out on the road to face off against Union County at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
