The Reavis Rams will venture away from home to square off against the Spencer County Bears at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Reavis is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Parker on Friday as they made off with a 15-2 victory. The Rams not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 12, 2025 (when they won 14-1).
Juan Avila made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Avila was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other pitching news, Brian Sanchez looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, Parker Zasada was a standout: he got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025. Adrian Ortega also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Spencer County waltzed into their matchup on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Wildcats. That's two games straight that the Bears have won by just one run.
Andrew Greene looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Griffin Kingsolver, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Dockery, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.
Spencer County's record is now 6-2. As for Reavis, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Reavis' speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. The Rams have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Spencer County, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Reavis continue to outrun the ball?
