Football Recap: Uxbridge Finds Playoff Glory Versus Blue Hills RVT

With a playoff win on the line, Uxbridge rose to the challenge on Friday. They took down the Blue Hills RVT Warriors 28-12.

Camden Lachapelle had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 155 yards and one score while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 22nd straight game with at least 122 rushing yards dating back to last season. Shea Paxton was another key player, throwing for 153 yards and a pair of TDs.

Uxbridge's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. As for Blue Hills RVT, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-4.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Uxbridge will venture away from home to square off against Amesbury at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Redhawks' defense has only allowed 10.2 points per game this season, so the Spartans' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Blue Hills RVT, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bristol-Plymouth RVT at 5:00 p.m. on the 26th.
