The Lassiter Trojans lost to the Cambridge Bears back in December of 2020, but the Lassiter Trojans didn't allow the Cambridge Bears the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Lassiter walked away with a 59-49 win over Cambridge.
Lassiter's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Venuti, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Venuti continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyhir Torrence, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Lassiter's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Cambridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.
Lassiter will stay at home for another game and welcome Allatoona at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. Allatoona will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Cambridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Roswell at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Roswell will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 336th, while Cambridge is ranked 94th).
