Avon hasn't had much luck against Brownsburg recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Orioles will venture away from home to challenge the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Avon sitting on three straight wins and Brownsburg on 15 (dating back to last season).
Avon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 23-21 victory over Ben Davis. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Orioles have posted since August 22nd.

It was another big night for Andre Warfield, who rushed for 147 yards and one touchdown. Avon also got help from MacKaven Tislow, who showed off his sure hands for 97 receiving yards.
Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed 15 in total. All came from Tim Paciorek (K): he went 5-for-5 kicking field goals for 15 points.
Avon's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Ben Davis' QB won't forget Grayson Clutter anytime soon given he sacked him twice.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Brownsburg against Pike on Friday as the team secured a 43-14 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven contests by 28 points or more so far this season.
Avon better keep an eye on Aiden Jobe. He was instrumental in Brownsburg's win, rushing for 135 yards and four scores while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Jobe a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Oscar Frye, who threw for 216 yards and a pair of TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Brownsburg was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 212 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 157 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Brownsburg didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Drew Bostic and Colton Gipson.
Avon's record is now 6-4. As for Brownsburg, their record now sits at 10-0.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Avon has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 204.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Brownsburg struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 209.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Avon couldn't quite get it done against Brownsburg in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 55-47. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Jobe, who rushed for 195 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 93 receiving yards and one score.
