The Berne Union Rockets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their eighth straight loss. They were beaten by Grove City Christian 68-38. Berne Union has not had much luck with Grove City Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Grove City Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Seth Vaughn led the charge by scoring 21 points. Vaughn hasn't dropped below 15 points for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Trenton Timlin, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Berne Union's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Grove City Christian, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Millersport the next time they take the court. Grove City Christian will head out to face Millersport at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Berne Union will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
