After a disappointing 7 points in their last match, Blue Valley made sure to put some points up on the board against Blue Valley Northwest on Friday. Blue Valley took the match and then some with a 49-13 win over Blue Valley Northwest. That's another feather in the cap for Blue Valley, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
The game started off well for Blue Valley, whose offense put up 28 first-half points. Meanwhile, Blue Valley Northwest couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 28-0 heading into the break. Blue Valley put the matchup away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense.
Senior Walker Kinney, who passed for 340 yards and 4 touchdowns, was a major factor in Blue Valley's success. Junior Beau Palmer was in the mix, too, providing Blue Valley with 3 touchdowns. The victory bumped their record up to 3-2. Blue Valley Northwest are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-5.
Next week Blue Valley take on Bishop Miege at 7:00 PM. Unlike Blue Valley, Bishop Miege will be limping in after taking a loss. As for Blue Valley Northwest, they will face off against Blue Valley West. Neither of these teams wants a repeat from their last game since each was dealt a considerable defeat.
