Evan Milner and Luke Longstreet provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Van-Far. The longest such play in Eastern Missouri this season, the connection resulted in 61 yards.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Montgomery County beat the Indians 44-8. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Jack Hicks provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Clopton/Elsberry fell to Bowling Green. He completed 9 passes for 193 yards and 1 touchdown and also ran for 73 yards. Hicks' key target this week was Rahiem Porter, who caught 4 passes for 114 yards.
Milner put up the best numbers through the air as Montgomery County defeated Van-Far. He finished with a total of 4 completions for 99 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, North Callaway's Cole Branson and Miguel Hudson have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-1 quarterback Branson has thrown for 1,016 yards this season, while Hudson has 31 catches for 439 yards. Hicks from the Hawks leads the league in rushing with 650 yards.
The top two teams in Eastern Missouri will face off this week when first place Montgomery County takes on second place Bowling Green.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when John Klekamp's team takes on the Bobcats. The Wildcats have allowed 73 points this season, while Bowling Green has given up 133. Montgomery County allowed 8 points last week as it beat Blake Logan's team.
The Thunderbirds were the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from sixth to fourth in the league. North Callaway vanquished Wright City 21-14 earlier in the week.
