The South Forsyth War Eagles were the 58-55 winner over Denmark when they last played one another on January 5th, but their luck changed this time around. South Forsyth fell 59-50 to Denmark on Friday.
Denmark's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emma Hempker led the charge by scoring 22 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Huffman, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
South Forsyth has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. As for Denmark, their win bumped their record up to an identical 10-12.
South Forsyth will be playing in front of their home fans against Lambert at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lambert is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Denmark, they will square off against Forsyth Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Forsyth Central has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 29.
