Football Recap: Friday's Defeat Ends Windsor Central's Winning Streak

After flying high against Chenango Valley last Thursday, Windsor Central came back down to earth. The Black Knights took a 20-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oneonta Yellowjackets on Friday. The Black Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Yellowjackets earlier this season, when they won 42-14.

Graham Klumpp threw for 36 yards. On the ground, Tyson Schmitt rushed for 272 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry.

With the loss, Windsor Central broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4. As for Oneonta, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-4.

Windsor Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oneonta, they will head out on the road to face off against Chenango Forks at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Yellowjackets will need to watch out since the Blue Devils have now posted at least 31 points in their last six games.
