Bartlett has gone 9-1 against Larkin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Hawks will welcome the Royals at 4:30 p.m.
Bartlett is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Conant on Saturday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 9-1.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, Larkin brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Streamwood a 21-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Royals, who have now won seven games by ten runs or more so far this season.
Jiselle Aguinaga and Mackenzie Wemken made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Aguinaga pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Wemken struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. At the plate, Aguinaga went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI, while Wemken went 1-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Ali Herrick was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexia Alonzo, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.
Larkin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Bartlett has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Larkin, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-11 record.
Bartlett got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April against Larkin by a conclusive 20-6 score. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Royals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
