After flying high against Athens Christian Preparatory Academy on Saturday, Longview Christian came back down to earth. Longview Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Gentry Parker, who posted four points in addition to ten boards and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games she's played. Isabella Smith was another key player, putting up 18 points and eight rebounds.
Beckville found their leader in sophomore Landrie Dennard, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Dennard.
Longview Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Beckville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-6.
Coming up, Longview Christian will head out to square off against Carlisle at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beckville, they will welcome Marshall Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
