The Sacred Heart Indians put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 31-14 victory over Central Texas Christian. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but Sacred Heart was the (much) better team in the second half.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sacred Heart to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brady Haas, who rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns. Nicholas Angerstein also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Despite the loss, Central Texas Christian still got an impressive performance from Tabor Tyson, who rushed for 171 yards and a touchdown. Tyson hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for ten straight games.
Sacred Heart's win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 10-0. As for Central Texas Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Sacred Heart does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Central Texas Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Bishop Gorman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
