Meanwhile, Twin Lakes waltzed into their contest on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Cavaliers 14-2. Considering the Indians have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Mason Brummett and Keaton Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Brummett pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Miller tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. At bat, Brummett went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Miller got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Twin Lakes is 10-2 when Brummett posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise.
In other batting news, Carson Wagner was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Cooper Dold, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Twin Lakes always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2025.
Twin Lakes' victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Winamac, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
