Basketball Recap: Queen's Grant Starts Season with Victory on the Road + How To Watch

Queen's Grant had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They managed a 55-50 win over the Victory Christian Center Kings. For the Stallions, this counts as revenge for the 57-56 victory the Kings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.

Queen's Grant found their leader in sophomore Chase Smith, who made all 13 shots he took for 28 points along with five boards and three blocks. Smith is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bobby Montgomery III, who posted 12 points.

Victory Christian Center lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Deshawn Coulter, who put up 18 points. Another player making a difference was Carlos Marshall, who earned 11 points.

Queen's Grant wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 83-63 win against SouthLake Christian Academy on the 6th. As for Victory Christian Center, they have also already played their next game, a 62-41 loss against Concord Academy on the 4th.
