The top two teams in the MaxPreps Georgia High School boys basketball rankings will battle for the state AAAAAAA championship Saturday.
As it should be.
Grayson (30-1), winners of 22 straight and ranked second nationally by MaxPreps, takes on Wheeler (23-9) for the state's top prize.
With two wins last week, Wheeler jumped from No. 8 to No. 2 in the rankings. Wheeler defeated Berkmar (53-43) before knocking off Milton 59-47 in the semifinals. Milton (26-5) was No. 2 last week in Georgia, but dropped to No. 4.
Grayson has won 22 straight after defeating Norcross (65-27) and defending state champion McEachern (82-76) last week.
Pace Academy was the only new team in The Top 10, moving from No. 13 to No. 8 after two wins.
