Ventura has been on the road for eight straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Pacifica Tritons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ventura has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 256 points over their last four games.
Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Ventura beat Clovis 59-53. Given Ventura's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Clovis is ranked 306th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ventura to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kailee Staniland, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Staniland has scored at least 25% of Ventura's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Skyler Knight, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Pacifica didn't have too much trouble with Santa Barbara at home on Tuesday as they won 49-33.
Ventura's win lifted them to 6-2 while Clovis' defeat dropped them down to 3-6.
Ventura strolled past Pacifica in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 50-33. Does Ventura have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pacifica turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
