The Bethel Assembly Christian Academy Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 44-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ahoskie Christian. Bethel Assembly Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ahoskie Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Despite the loss, Bethel Assembly Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Peyton Liverman scored 18 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Cullipher, who scored 6 points along with 9 rebounds.
Bethel Assembly Christian Academy has fallen quite a ways from their 18-7 record last season and are now at 1-6. As for Ahoskie Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bethel Assembly Christian Academy will square off against Bethel Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ahoskie Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Community Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Community Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 476 points over their last seven games.
