The Treasure Coast Titans's six-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They breezed by Santaluces at home to the tune of 50-21. That 29 points margin sets a new team best for Treasure Coast this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Treasure Coast to victory, but perhaps none more so than Telijah Filsaime, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariel Horne, who scored 17 points.
Despite the defeat, Santaluces saw an underclassman step up: Makaylah Wayde scored 14 points along with three steals and two blocks. Wayde is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Lyiah Gaitor, who scored two points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Treasure Coast's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Santaluces, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
