The Rowe-Clark Masai Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 78-54 walloping at the hands of Hansberry. While losing is never fun, Rowe-Clark can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 634th, while the Bengals are ranked 237th).
Despite the defeat, Rowe-Clark saw an underclassman step up: Arnez Jones scored 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Artez Jones, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Rowe-Clark has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Hansberry, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.
Rowe-Clark does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hansberry won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Griffins at 5:30 p.m. on January 31st.
