Legacy won their last game against Horizon, and it was the same story this time around. On Friday, Legacy narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Horizon 31-28. The victory came about thanks to a strong surge after the the half to overcome a 21-3 deficit.
The Lightning struggled in the first half and ended with three points. Horizon had no such difficulty scoring and set themselves up with a 21-3 advantage heading into the break. The Legacy offense took control in the second half, however, scoring 28 points.
Legacy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Adarius Edwards, who passed for 172 yards and two TDs, and Dakota Key, who rushed for 108 yards and one TD on 18 carries. More help came courtesy of Adam Lynch, who was good for 16 tackles.
The victory makes it two in a row for Legacy and bumps their record up to 3-7. The defeat dropped Horizon's record to 4-6. Both of these squads appear to have finished up the season, as they have no upcoming games scheduled.
