Independence's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Langerbeins, who threw for 114 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 38 yards and one touchdown. Hendrix Harvey also helped out with an impressive 87 receiving yards.
Clarksville lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ahvare Galbreath, who rushed for 92 yards and one score on only ten carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making seven total tackles and defending one pass.
The win got Independence back to even at 5-5. As for Clarksville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.
