Hamilton Southeastern won the last time they faced Franklin Central and Kennedy Holman did her part to make sure it happened again. The Royals walked away with a 55-44 victory over the Flashes on Friday with plenty of help from Holman, who went 8-for-14 on her way to 31 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games she's played dating back to last season.
Franklin Central lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Payton Duvall, who posted eight points in addition to 15 boards and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Briley Layton, who earned 12 points and six rebounds.
The win made it two in a row for Hamilton Southeastern and bumps their season record up to 4-1. As for Franklin Central, they moved to 4-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
