Having just played yesterday, the Casa Roble Rams will jump right back in to play the Faith Lutheran Crusaders at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Casa Roble has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 893 points over their last 12 games.
Casa Roble has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 21 points or more this season. They blew past Sunrise Mountain 81-58. With Casa Roble ahead 44-12 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Casa Roble relied on the efforts of Travis Remly, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 16 rebounds, and Benny Ambriz, who scored 30 points along with nine rebounds and six steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Ambriz has scored at least 25% of Casa Roble's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Moses Oginni, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Faith Lutheran pushed their score all the way to 59 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 76-59 to Bonita Vista. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Faith Lutheran came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 12th in Nevada, while Bonita Vista is ranked 311th in California).
Casa Roble's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Faith Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
