Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Island Coast Gators walked away with it. They walked away with a 57-45 victory over the Tigers on Tuesday. This was payback for Island Coast, who suffered a 59-54 defeat the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Jose Bido, who scored 21 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was SirJoshua Anderson, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
The win got Island Coast back to even at 12-12. As for Dunbar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-16.
Island Coast is on the road again on Thursday and plays Mariner on February 8th. Mariner has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 510 points over their last seven matches. Dunbar does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
