The South Mountain Jaguars's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They breezed by Sierra Linda at home to the tune of 68-37. With that victory, South Mountain brought their scoring average up to 51.2 points per game.
South Mountain's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyler Pena, who scored 20 points. Jaeden Rivera was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
South Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Sierra Linda, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Mountain and Ironwood will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Ironwood's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Sierra Linda, they will head out on the road to face off against Westview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
