Sheridan Hills Christian had lost four straight headed into Friday's match, but Micah Smith didn't let it get to five. The Sheridan Hills Christian Sharks managed a 65-59 win over the Berean Christian Bulldogs on Friday thanks in part to Smith, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played.

Despite the loss, Berean Christian still got an impressive performance from Derek Vasquez, who posted 36 points and seven rebounds. That was a full 61% of Berean Christian's points, marking the third time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Matthew Wall, who had five points and five assists.

The victory got Sheridan Hills Christian back to even at 4-4. As for Berean Christian, their record now sits at an identical 4-4.
