On Tuesday, St. Joseph D made easy work of Shawnee Mission Christian and carried off a 52-26 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for St. Joseph D.
When it comes to explaining why Shawnee Mission Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jeydan Umberger. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds. Umberger scored a full 46.2% of Shawnee Mission Christian's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Emily Kleczka, who scored 8 points along with 12 rebounds.
St. Joseph D's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Shawnee Mission Christian, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Cornerstone Family the next time they take the court. Shawnee Mission Christian will host Cornerstone Family at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while St. Joseph D will host them at 6:00 p.m. on December 16th.
