Softball Recap: Clemens' Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

After flying high against Sinton on Friday, Clemens came back down to earth. The Clemens Buffaloes fell just short of the La Grange Leopards by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The Buffaloes' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Clemens saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexus Worthy, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Ava Aguayo also deserves some recognition as she stole her first stolen base of the season.

Clemens' loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for La Grange, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-5.

Coming up, Clemens will challenge Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Clemens: 2.6, Canyon: 1.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for La Grange, they will take on Medina Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
