The Kearney Catholic Stars lost against the St. Patrick's Irish back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The contest between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Kearney Catholic falling 58-39.
Despite the defeat, Kearney Catholic saw an underclassman step up: Jacob Bosshamer scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Murphy, who scored 7 points.
Kearney Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for St. Patrick's, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Kearney Catholic will head out on the road to face off against Ord at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Patrick's, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Maxwell at 7:30 p.m. Maxwell comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
