The Gordon Lee Trojans will head out to face off against the Worth County Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Gordon Lee comes in on nine and Worth County on 12.
Gordon Lee is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They snuck past Elbert County with a 17-12 win. Those 17 points were actually the fewest the Trojans have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Landon Norton was the offensive standout of the matchup as he picked up 125 receiving yards and one score. Those 125 receiving yards gave him a new career-high.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Gordon Lee proved: they limited Elbert County to a paltry one yards per carry. The team can thank Layne Vaughn for the heroic effort on defense: he. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for Gordon Lee; they were averaging 5.5yards per carry per game earlier this season, but in their last three contests they've fallen to only 0 per game.
Gordon Lee's defense didn't let Brody Baker, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for six sacks. Vaughn was especially locked on to Elbert County's QB and sacked him three times.
Meanwhile, Worth County's game on Friday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bleckley County, sneaking past 38-35. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Rams' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Royals are ranked 128th).
Worth County's win came from a few key players Gordon Lee will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kaden Chester, who rushed for 140 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Lyndon Worthy, who threw for 272 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt.
Gordon Lee's record is now 11-1. As for Worth County, their record now sits at 12-0.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Gordon Lee has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 208.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Worth County struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 157.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground. Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more football content.
