The Freeman Flyers's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They snuck past Kimball/White Lake with a 59-53 victory. This was payback for Freeman, who suffered a 56-54 loss the last time these two teams met.
Freeman found their leader in underclassman Tate Sorensen, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayden Kerrigan, who scored nine points.
The win got Freeman back to even at 1-1. As for Kimball/White Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Freeman will head out on the road to face off against Canistota at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kimball/White Lake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mitchell Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
