The Millbrook Wildcats posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They breezed by Rolesville at home to the tune of 84-52. Given Millbrook's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while Rolesville is ranked 326th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Colt Langdon was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Millbrook's points. Another player making a difference was Alex Olander, who scored 16 points.
Millbrook has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Rolesville, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millbrook will challenge Wakefield at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Wakefield's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. As for Rolesville, they will head out on the road to challenge Knightdale at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
