Westwood is a perfect 10-0 against Ashland since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Wolverines will venture away from home to challenge the Clockers at 4:30 p.m. Westwood has given up an average of 9.4 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Westwood is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Holliston on Monday as they made off with a 30-11 victory. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Wolverines with their most commanding win of the season.

Mia French was a standout: she got on base in six of her seven plate appearances with five runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those five runs gave her a new career-high. Brooke Benger was another key player, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Westwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Dedham hit Ashland with a seven-run fifth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Clockers fell 12-9 to the Marauders. The Clockers haven't had much luck with the Marauders recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
Lorelai Collette was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ava Vendetti, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Westwood pushed their record up to 5-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.7 runs over those games. As for Ashland, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.
Westwood got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Ashland by a conclusive 14-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
