Hanover-Horton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JJ Russ, who scored eight points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that Russ grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Soper, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds.
Hanover-Horton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Jonesville, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hanover-Horton will square off against Manchester at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Manchester will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 662nd, while Hanover-Horton is ranked 292nd). As for Jonesville, they will head out on the road to take on East Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Jackson is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
