Gray Collegiate Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Braylhan Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. The contest was Thomas' ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lj Britt, who scored 14 points.
Gray Collegiate Academy has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Westside, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3.
Gray Collegiate Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against Chapin at 7:30 p.m. Chapin is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. Westside will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Putnam County at 7:30 a.m. on January 2nd. Putnam County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 matches -- so hopefully Westside likes a good challenge.
