The Trinity Christian Gryphons will square off against The Covenant School Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Trinity Christian took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let Fredericksburg Christian get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. That 11-run margin sets a new team best for the Gryphons this season.

Lucas Fisher made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Trinity Christian is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 1-2 otherwise. Fisher was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Trinity Christian let Philip Long and Cole Norman run wild. Long went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Norman went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits Long has posted since back in April of 2025. Isaac Norman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs.
Trinity Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask The Covenant School). They put the hurt on Blue Ridge with a sharp 15-2 victory on Tuesday. With that win, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.
Gavin McGinn looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits.
On the hitting side, The Covenant School got a big performance out of Henry Waldruff, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Pariseau, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three runs.
The victory got Trinity Christian back to even at 3-3. As for The Covenant School, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-3.
