The International Community Comets will face off against the Taylor Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. International Community is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.2 points per game this season.

On Tuesday, International Community was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 53-49 to Rutherford. The contest marked the Comets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, International Community got top-tier performance from Paxton Boaz, who went 9-for-19 on his way to 28 points in addition to six boards and four steals. That was a full 57.1% of the Comets' points, marking the fourth time in a row Boaz has posted more than a third of the team's points. Jace Grover was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meanwhile, Taylor took care of business in their home opener (barely) last Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 72-70 victory over First Academy. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

International Community better keep an eye on Christian Nichols. He was instrumental in Taylor's win, posting 23 points and seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of James Thomas, who shot 42% from the field en route to 12 points and three steals.

International Community now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Taylor, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
