The West Holt Huskies will square off against the Ravenna Bluejays at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
In Friday's Canine Competition, West Holt prevailed. They secured a 50-44 W over Pleasanton on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Huskies.
West Holt found their leader in sophomore Gabriel Monasterio, who rushed for 51 yards and three scores.
West Holt was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 393 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

West Holt's defensive line made their presence known, laying out Brennan Lindner five times. Leading the way was A.J. Pospichal with two sacks. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 13. West Holt got some further help from Beau Duhachek: he picked up a sack and made seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Ravenna hadn't done well against South Loup recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bluejays breezed past South Loup to the tune of 46-8. Considering the Bluejays have won six games by more than 35 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Ravenna's win came from a few key players West Holt will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Trenton Wedemeyer, who rushed for 145 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 83 yards and three TDs on only seven passes. Kobe Chamberlin was another key player, rushing for 133 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.
West Holt picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Ravenna, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. West Holt has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 185.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Ravenna struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 309.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
