Basketball Recap: Farmersville Extends Winning Streak to Four

Leonard came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Farmersville, but Koby Chavez wouldn't allow it. The Farmers blew past the Tigers 89-45 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Chavez, who shot 64% from beyond the arc to rack up 33 points and three steals. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 44.4% three-point shooting accuracy.

Another player making a difference was Christian Smith, who went 7-for-16 en route to 19 points along with six assists and five rebounds. His big performance that morning made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points.

The victory keeps Farmersville at an undefeated 4-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 45.8 points thus far. As for Leonard, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Farmersville will take on Greenville in a tournament on December 4. As for Leonard, they will be playing at home against Bland at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Bland has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
