The Owatonna Huskies waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Northfield with points to spare, taking the game 73-54. That's another feather in the cap for Owatonna, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Owatonna's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Morgan Fisher, who scored 18 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Jersey Coleman, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Owatonna's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8. As for Northfield, they bumped their record down to 4-10 with that loss, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Owatonna will face off against Faribault at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Faribault has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Northfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Winona at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday.
